You’ll have to pardon my language, but 
that was amazing. The music (by Yoko Kanno), the animation, the battles – everything was so incredible, and I can’t begin to fathom how much money was spent on this. It was movie-level quality. The first half did a good job introducing the story and characters (even for someone like me who’s not intimately familiar with the franchise, this was very easy to get into), but it was the entire second half that had me on the edge of my seat. I don’t think a single episode has hooked me as quickly as this did in a long while – at least not since RXJ anyway. And from the look of the preview, there doesn’t seem to be a distinct drop of quality for the second episode either. I’d say Macross Frontier has easily shot up to the top of my list of most anticipated shows for the Spring 2008 – maybe even more than GEASS.

hmm…. in the future… people will no longer be able to stand up to normal gravity… will require robotic hands to easily fold paper… and are incapable of keeping there balance when caught in sprinkler spray xD
this series looks alright I guess, wonder what the story is

This is going to be a
continue to one of the greatest series of all time. Robotech started with macross and now it has finally came back in this new series which in my opinion does a great tribute to the originals.

ing the comment left by asdf. Not sure where he gets the idea that we wouldnt be able to stand up in gravity. 
he has a better understand of physics then me. Oh well. more power to you if you’re right. But overall it was an enjoyable anime. Look forward to more.

wrap in an enigmatic puzzle as to wat the hell the storyline is… but honestly i think the story line is used. colonies=old
and takes his robot for his own= can u say gundam seed=old. oh well its reminiscent of gundam seed but i think this anime will far surpass it i cant wait till the next one.

As far as the animation’s concerned, it is practically flawless, almost as if this were to be a movie. However though, upon watching the variable fighter combat, I feel somewhat disappointed as far as fighter development’s concerned… its like they took two steps back as far as fighter tech and tactics from Macross Plus.

Very impressive, the quality of the animation is top notch. It reminds me of “Ghost in the Shell” or “IGPX” in quality.
The story is interesting, I’m not sure what to think about it yet, however the combat is intense and the “talking part” of it, aka the plot, seems well written. The story has enough so not to make you feel stupid for not knowing everything, while at the same time leaving enough to keep you interested.
If they keep up this quality, I think this will be a top notch anime worth keeping an eye on.

this is amazing anime im definitely watchin it, she isnt AS pretty as every1 makes her out 2 be, ye i totally i agree with u see that guy who gets teased n annoyed bein a princess wen hes a guy, guy with long blue hair, he looks and sounds like Kanda from d gray man im sure of it m8, especially his attitude,
